Subject: [Tweeters] correction of date for Scissor-tailed Flycatcher

Is this sighing correct or not. I went out to the sight today and three people told me that this was a mistaken report? They stated that the birds were actually Scrub Jays. It seems to me it would be a hard bird to mistake from 50 feet. I didn't stick around to look since because of the report. I did get a nice look at a California Quail on a fence post calling just south of the report site.

Subject: [Tweeters] correction of date for Scissor-tailed Flycatcher sighting

Sherry Hagen, a sharp-eyed birder and reader from Vancouver caught my date
error. I assume most others did, too; but, I?ll make the correction
anyway. We spotted the birds on Saturday 6/4/11, not 6/5/11 as indicated in my
report. I apologize for the error. Some of us retirees have trouble keeping
our days straight.
