Subject: [Tweeters] American Pipit, Renton

Folks,
I was amazed to see an AMERICAN PIPIT feeding and preening on the
sidewalks in my native plant restoration in the courtyard of McKnight
Middle School in Renton yesterday morning (10 June, 2011). That's not a
bird I ever expected to add to the courtyard list (unless perhaps flying
high overhead), and certainly not at this date.
Less surprising are the nest-building CEDAR WAXWINGs (second year) and
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWs.
Cheers,
