hi all ... for anyone who wants to see and listen to singing Lazuli
Buntings --- the dog park at Sandy River Delta is the place to go
!!!!!!!! ... Gene and I went out there yesterday ... LB's were
everywhere !!!!!! ... we just wandered around the lower fields ...
couldn't get to the Chat location as the water is still high and
there's a lake blocking the path ... and we didn't want to go back to
the parking lot and walk around the entire wet area ... but still, in
the lower field we had quite a few enjoyable birds ... a pair of
Eastern Kingbirds kept us entertained for quite some time ... didn't
see any Western Kingbirds however ... there was a Bullock's Oriole
nest with a mother feeding her young ... never saw the dad however
... we also had a willow flycatcher zipping around the blackberries,
seemingly oblivious to people and dogs ...
