Subject: [Tweeters] Another Life Time Moment

We took a family walk on Saturday, June 11th at Tacoma's Chambers Creek
Park, Central Meadow. Across the railroad tracks and from the new pedestrian
bridge, is a derelict old dock with an *Osprey* nest on pilings at the south
end. When I first scanned with my binoculars, I saw the presumably female *
Osprey* on the nest and also had a *Pigeon Guillemot* on the water in the
same view. The life moment came a short time later, when I had the
*Osprey*on the nest, a
*Glaucous-winged Gull* and *Rock Pigeon* sitting on the railing and a *Pigeon
Guillemot *waddling on the dock with its bright red legs, all in the same
binocular view! What a combination!
Also saw the male *Osprey* deliver a fish to the nest, only to be told off
by the mate on the nest. It flew over to the railing with the fish,
seemingly not sure what to do now after being rejected. Maybe the kiddies
were taking an afternoon nap?

Cheers,
