Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 16. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 12 a SUMMER TANAGER was near Paisley. A possible BLACK-THROATED BLUE
WARBLER was seen June 9 in Astoria. A possible EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was
photographed June 11 at Sawyer Park in Bend. A male HOODED WARBLER was seen
June 8 at Hatfield Lake near Bend. On June 13 a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was at
the Redmond Sewage Ponds. One was at Rimrock Springs near Madras the day
before.

A male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was at the Riverview Cemetery in Portland June
14. A COMMON MOORHEN was reported June 9 at Klamath Marsh NWR. On June 9 a
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was in Bend?s Sawyer Park. Another was seen June 12
at Glaze Meadow near Black Butte Ranch. One was at Malheur NWR Headquarters
all week.

On June 9 five HEERMANN?S GULLS were at New River south of Bandon. On June 9
a GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH was on top of Saddle Mountain east of Seaside. A
BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was seen June 8 at Ridgefield NWR. A Late WESTERN
TANAGER was on Sauvie Island June 11. Nine were at Powell Butte Park in
Gresham the next day. A GREATER SCAUP was seen June 11 at the Vanport
Wetlands in North Portland. A pair of REDHEADS nested there this spring.
Three CLARK?S GREBES are now at the Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove.

Five TRUMPETER SWANS were seen June 10 at Houston Lake near Powell Butte. On
June 11 a female CAPE MAY WARBLER was photographed at Malheur NWR
Headquarters. A PARULA WARBLER was at Fields June 8. A CATBIRD was seen June
7 At Roaring Springs Ranch south of Frenchglen. On June 9 a HERMIT WARBLER
was reported at Page Springs Campground. A female BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD
has been at Malheur NWR Headquarters all week.
