Last Sunday we stopped by the OPAS River Center in Sequin and spotted a female Hairy Woodpecker at the feeders. I could not stay...so I went back up Yesterday to see if I could also photograph the male...and I did!
In a few short hours I spotted and photographed:
Song Sparrow
Fox Sparrow
Male/Female A. Goldfinch
Cedar Waxwings
Dark-eyed Junco
Black-headed Grosbeak
Cassin?s Finch
Spotted Towhee
Bald Eagle (flying above)
Violet-green Swallow with insects in the beak!
Male/Female Anna?s Hummingbirds-male with full throat blown out and flashing!
Did not photograph:
Evening Grosbeak
White-crowned Sparrow
A. Robin
Heard but could not locate:
N. Flicker
Western Wood Peewee
AND it was a darn nice day!

I posted the Violet-green Swallow on my website
Good birding,Marty at www.martykramerstudio.com
