Sherry and I ventured to the east side today. On our way to Vantage, we had a PRAIRIE FALCON fly over I-90 just before the exit. Once in Vantage we went down Recreation Rd. to the trail. We had a LAZULI BUNTING and ROCK WREN singing right away. We walked up the trail and got a SAY'S PHOEBE. We continued to listen for the trill song of the BLACK-THROATED SPARROW, and finally heard the bird still further up the trail. The sparrow was flying from perch to perch singing. Thanks Steve and Marv for this one.

After, we headed over to Wilson Creek. We decided to make the trek after reading a post by Pete Fahey. The birding was outstanding, and we spent more than 4 hours there, and tallied 65 species. We saw alot of the same birds Pete had, and here are some of the birds we saw today. Thanks Pete.
