Marc & Tweets,

I believe this misses the point Phil was trying to make (I could be wrong here but I have wondered about this as well).

MOST of the Tweeters posts indicate and attachment in my AOL email software. MOST Tweets do NOT send an attachment (and Phil is NOT sending one with his Nisqually reports).

I have wondered if it is because we are supposed to use plain text when posting to Tweeters and many may not be doing this. I really have no idea but since a majority of the posts indicate an attachment, but not all, that was the only thing I could think of that might create this false attachment symbol to show.

This is a recent "development" which makes me think it is a software issue and may well be limited to AOL (as Phil and I both use it).

Anyone have any real knowledge instead of my WAG? (Do I need to spell that out? I don't want to get *that* thread started.)

Phil,

Probably your attachement was stripped out automatically becauseattachments are discouraged or prohibited from the list (as is the casewith most email lists). The preferred way to distribute attachments tolist members is to post the attachment on a website (Flicker, your ownwebsite, your Facebook, etc. etc.) and just include a link to thatlocation when you post to Tweeters. This cuts down on bandwidth anddownload time for our members, and also greatly reduces the risk ofsomeone hitting the list with a virus (intentional ornon-intentional).

Tweets,

I'm not sure what is happening, but there is no attachment to myNisqually post. When it comes back to me it shows an attachment butthere is none. This is the second time it has happened and I'm notsure what caused it.
