I would also recommend a day doing Mt Lemmon and a day in Madera Canyon. Both were very fruitful for us. Patagonia Lake St Pk and Patons in Patagonia were also very good. Dave

Hi! You might want to call the Tucson Audubon Nature Shop (520-629-0510); last I heard, they were offering a "package" deal for first-time se AZ birders. Near Tucson, you can see many species at Agua Caliente , Catalina , Sahuaro N.P.'s and Sabino Canyon. I don't know what the fire situation is, but I'd call the Tucson Aud. Soc. (same tel. no..) to see if Ramsay Canyon, the Huachucas, and the Chiricahuas are still open.

Good birding! Murray
