Hello,

Early this morning I headed out to spend the day in northern Ferry County.
On the way I made a quick loop through Stevens County and the Little Pend
Oreille Refuge, southwest of Colville, and found a White headed Woodpecker.
Then I stopped by Amazon Marsh and quickly found several Northern
Waterthrushes, MacGillivray's Warblers, Gray Catbird, Willow Flycatchers
and other expected birds of the area.

Then on to Ferry County. My first stop was Bangs Mountain Rd. Notable birds
seen here: DUSKY GROUSE, Calliope and Rufous Hummingbird, Downy, Hairy,
Pileated Woodpecker and Red naped Sapsucker, Hammond's, Willow, Pac-sloped,
and Olive-sided Flycatchers, Cassin's, Warbling, and Red eyed Vireos,
Chestnut-backed Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, Pacific Wren,
Swainson's Thrush and Veery, numerous warblers: Orange crowned, Nashville,
Yellow rumped, Townsend's, MacGillivray's, Yellow, and American Redstart,
Western Tanager, Black-headed Grosbeak, Red Crossbill, and a Black Bear.

Sherman Pass: Wilson's Warbler, Hermit Thrush, Mountain Bluebird, Fox
Sparrow, Gray Jay, Clark's Nutcracker.

Hwy 21, South of Republic - Redhead (Republic STP), Cinnamon Teal, Bobolink
(near mp 58), White throated Swifts (cliffs near mp 53), Sora, Virginia
Rail, Gray Catbird, Northern Waterthrush (Gold Creek Rd) and many riparian
species seen on Bangs Mt Rd.

Mud Lake - Lesser Scaup, Gadwall, Ruddy Duck, Pied-billed Grebe, Bullock's

A fun morning enroute to 102 species in Ferry County.

Blessings
