Hi Washington Birders,
I am going to be in Bellevue for a few days this July and I was planning on going birding at least one morning. I didn't want to go that far so I was thinking about birding Marymoor Park or Cougar Mountain, which would be better this time of year. Target birds would be Bushtit and Vaux's Swift. If Townsend's Warblers, Pacific Wrens, and Cassin's Vireos breed this close to Seattle they would be on my target list too. I will be driving across Washington on I-90 both there and back. I was thinking about trying for the Black-throatyed Sparrow in Vantage and I would appreciate a little more details about its location. I was able to find Recreation Rd. on Google maps but I would like to know how far down the road from Vantage Hwy. the trailhead mentioned is. Also, I will be towing a 20ft. camper trailer, would there be room to turn one around at this trailhead? I was also thinking about stopping near Cle Elum, is it possible to get White-headed Woodpeckers there in July? If there are any good places for Pacific Wren, Cassin's Vireo, Townsend's Warbler, or Varies Thrush near there I would appreciate getting some info on them too.
