They had this bird at the Shorebirds Festival and what a sweet guy.? He/she was in a baby crib and not the least bit scared or upset by all the attention.? He was ready to be released and I believe they were trying to get Alaska Airlines to give him a ride south to find his kinfolk.? They also had a male pygmy owl named Who, a female merlin and a male scaup.? The merlin and owl had both lost their left wings in accidents and are permanent residents of their sanctuary.? ? The merlin wasn't happy and had to go back into her pet carrier to calm down but Who was quite content to let people pet him.? Who also has a girlfriend which is sweet but I forgot her name.? These people do excellent work.?

HI ALL:
Saw this in today's The Seattle Times:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2015444562_creatures28m.html

"Bird rescuer Angie Messmer laughed when a fisherman called to let her
know he was bringing in a brown booby that had leapt onto his boat from its
perch not far offshore from Westport, Grays Harbor County. The birds
rarely stray north of Mexico. But it was true."

sincerely
