Tweets - maybe people have been having so much success finding THE
Black-throated Sparrow (BTSP) at Vantage because there are really two there.
Actually, there are at least 2 there.

Last night, just before 8 p.m., I stopped by on my way home. It was very
windy, and I was thinking the sparrow might be an early-to-bed type. But
while I heard nothing near the gate to the trail, I thought I was hearing a
BTSP from the top of the slope on the Vantage Hwy side of the gully the
trail goes up. I made my way closer, and was able to glimpse the bird.

While I was watching that BTSP, I could hear a second bird counter-singing
from the bottom of the gully, closer to the gate.

So I had confirmation of 2 sparrows.

It was very windy, and the wind and the Rock Wrens were playing tricks on
me, but there's a chance there was a third bird across the road from the
gate. Not sure about that one, but positive about there being at least 2
birds.
