Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 30. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 25 a SUMMER TANAGER and a WHITE-WINGED CROSSSBILL were at Meadows
Campground near Camp Sherman. A female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was seen June
22 at the Tualatin NWR. The Malheur NWR Headquarters BROWN THRASHER was seen
again June 25.

Up to 10 WESTERN SANDPIPERS and a SEMIPALMATED PLOVER were seen during the
week at Dunes Overlook south of Florence. A MOCKINGBIRD was seen June 24 at
nearby Tahkenitch Creek. A group of five WESTERN SCRUB-JAYS was at South
Beach June 24. On June 26 northbound migrant BROWN PELICANS and HEERMANN?S
GULLS were passing Yaquina Head. Up to 373 RAVENS gathered during the week
on a field near Astoria.

Up to 17 GREAT EGRETS have been reported during the week near Scappoose. On
June 27 a LARK SPARROW was at the Sandy River Delta. Two EASTERN KINGBIRDS
are being seen there again this summer. A flock of 30 WHITE PELICANS was
over mid-town Eugene June 24. Another GRASSHOPPER SPARROW colony was found
during the week along North Bank Road near Glide.

On June 26 a VEERY was seen along Lake Creek near Camp Sherman.
