Hello all,
A beautiful spring day to be out birding - we spent over an hour at McNary NWR this afternoon looking through approx. 3800 Snow Geese - in the flock were also 6 adult and 1 subadult Blue Geese. Short video on my flikr site:

Other birds of interest:
Rock Wren - a pair back on 9 Mile Canyon road - singing away
Eared Grebe - 1 bird about 25 ft out in the river off Penninsula HMU - nice looks!
Cassin's Finch - 1 subadult male singing - Burbank Heights HMU - weird place for this bird but we have had one there before. These three were new county year birds bring our total to 133 for 2011.

Mew Gull - 1 on the WWRdelta
Eurasian Wigeon - 4 on the delta
Dunlin - 91 on the delta
Red-breasted Merganser - only 2 females left at 2Rivers HMU
Common Loon - 1 at 2Rivers
Greater White-fronted Geese - 300 at MP 300 - way down from last week.
Ferruginous Hawk - 2 birds
Marsh Wren - 2 at Burbank Hts. HMU
Barn Owl - 3 birds - 2 nesting
Ring-necked Ducks - 103 on the "millet field) - they were constantly diving in that shallow flooded field
