Tweets,
I spent a couple hours yesterday morning at Lake Sammamish Park State(LSSP)
and was glad to see the Tree Swallows have returned. I hope that spring is
not too far behind.
Sunset Beach was strangely empty of the normal ducks and gulls, but I was
able to find a Barrow's Goldeneye near the Issaquah Creek outlet.
Other highlights:
30+ Dunlin at Issaquah Creek outlet
60+ Great Blue Heron at the rookery(scared up by a pair of Red-tailed Hawks)
I could hear a Western Meadowlark over in the meadow east of Issaquah
Creek-this was a first for me at the park.
2-3 Red-breasted sapsuckers
Glad to get out before the rain.
