Hello Tweets. As the spring sightings pour into Tweeters, it is time for
another spring rite... the announcements of upcoming birding festivals. So
I am pleased to announce the web site for the Grays Harbor Shorebird
Festival has undergone its yearly update (thank you Sheila!), and the
festival brochure will be in mailboxes by the end of the week (thank you
R.D. & ALL the proofers!).

This year our keynote speaker will be wildlife artist Bart Rulon who invites
us to experience local birds from the field to the studio, through his eyes.
We have a bumper crop of vendors and exhibitors, all eager to beautify,
inform and educate, and we have some new lectures and lecturers added to the
mix to pique your interest.
We have a really talented Americorp person (yay Maya!) to spark the
imagination of the younger set with some new ideas.
Finally, we continue to get lucky with all our field trips and the leaders
who make them an ever-changing opportunity to see great birds; you all know
Grays Harbor has a reputation for some interesting sightings.
So come join us April 29th through May 1st for the 16th annual celebration
of the northbound shorebird migration. You will be glad you did!
