This is a short excerpt from a post to the Montana birding list today. This
observation was made near Bozeman. With lows hitting 14 degrees in the last
seven days, this observation is astounding.

"Two white eggs on a typical flat and flimsy dove nest, eye height in a 15
foot backyard spruce, greeted me today as I looked for signs of spring. This
is a new phenomenon for me! I'd heard the doves intensely singing for a good
month. At this rate they may take over the world."
