This is the first winter that we have had a varied thrush (male) spend the whole time in some thick
landscape vegetation in our front yard. Has been here several weeks/months. Feeds under black sunflower
seed feeder, probably finding grubs and such in the litter. Starting a couple of days ago he began singing, a
first for our Puyallup yardscape. He seems to be practicing. Sounds like we're up in the Olympics.Jerry
