Hello,

Checking the latest weather reports, I decided to head south today and look
for the Iceland Gull that Keith saw earlier this week. I found the gull and
some other nice birds as well. Some of the highlights.

6:30am - rain and wind at Steptoe Butte State Park - Varied Thrush

Wawawai Canyon - much calmer - Say's Phoebe,Western Bluebird, Townsend's
Solitaire, Bewick's, Marsh, Canyon, and Rock Wren, Chukar. At Nisqually
John Canyon, an adult NORTHERN GOSHAWK.

Clarkston: Swallows Park Boat Launch Ramp - MEW GULL, Lesser Scaup

Town of Asotin: LESSER GOLFINCH (5), Merlin, Western Screech Owl

Snake River south of Asotin: Violet Green Swallow (dozens), Tree Swallow

Asotin County Land Fill: ICELAND GULL (state lifer) with about 500 other
gulls - moslty California with lesser number of Ring-billed and Herring

Evans Pond: Virginia Rail, Yellow rumped Warbler

Garfield County - Hwy 12 - Prairie Falcon; Mouth of Deadman Creek: Lesser
Scaup, Pacific and Bewick's Wren

Whitman County - Hwy 127 (mp 126) EURASIAN WIGEON, N Shrike, 6 bull Elk.
