If you look at this video (http://www.pyropix.nl/) recommended by Dennis
Paulson yesterday, and show it at full screen, 720p resolution, you can see
why the starlings are moving around so much. They are being chased
repeatedly and, it appears, unsuccessfully. Pretty neat.



Continuing in the spate of Merlin photos, I had good luck up near Allen (in
the Samish Flats) with a Merlin. He was cooperative (first cooperative
Merlin I've encountered). Six photos start here:
