It is common, in my experience, to see the first Rufous Hummingbird, in the
Woodinville/Redmond area between March 2nd and March 15th. However, the
first arrival has been seen as late as March 25th. This is based on
records back to 1987. I'm waiting for my first of the year 2011 Rufous
Himmingbird, here in the Redmond Ridge area. Last year, the first Rufous was seen
at this location on March 11th.
