Today around 1230 there was an American Tree Sparrow at Fort Worden
State Park in Port Townsend. The bird was hanging around the picnic
area behind the bunkers near the parking lot that overlooks the sound,
west of the lighthouse. The bird was pretty skittish and would fly away
when I got out of my car but came back to forage in the grass after a
couple of minutes. I got views of less than 12 feet when in my car though.
