Department?of Corrections:
Some friends of mine who looked at my photos from yesterday (3/13) of the
"northern harrier" being mobbed by crows pointed out that the bird was a
short-eared owl, not a northern harrier.? Maybe my photos were in focus after
all and it is my eyes which are?bad.

Department of?Irony:?
Today (3/14) at the marsh I photographed a real northern harrier.???The
harrier?first?headed eastbound over Pt. Edwards, then later returned westbound
over the south edge of the marsh with?a single crow escort.? ?In both cases the
harrier was flying?high, not low to the ground in hunting mode. ?

Department of Redundancy:
1) Apparently the Pt. Edwards red-tailed hawk is not alone as I saw two of them
fly out from the?raptor tree on the fish hatchery grounds.? They headed
southeast?flying circles together over?Edmonds Way.

2)?I saw a juvie bald eagle and an adult flying together over the south edge of
the marsh above??Pt. Edwards.? I'll have to study my photos closer to see if it
looked like?a friendly outing or a territorial disoute.
