Hey Tweets,
I do not know if it is the weather or just that time of year, but almost every bird species in my yard was attacking the suet block this week.
Townsend's Warbler, CB and BC Chickadees, RC kinglet, Hairy and Downy Woodpeckers are not unusual.
However, the DE Junco, Song Sparrow, Spotted Towhee and A Robin were !!

But I must also wonder about that Robin. It is the only one I've seen on a suet block, and it is missing its tail! Is it looking for extra nutrients to help grow it back?

This is also the 2nd bird I've had in the yard this winter with a missing tail. Earlier in the year I had a Fox Sparrow 'sans' tail as well!
The local Cooper's Hawks must be having a lot of near-misses !!
