On Saturday March 5th at about 2:15-2:30 pm I saw the eagle soaring in
circles with a red tailed hawk (it looked like the juvenile hawk that I've
seen at my house which is ~ a block away, photos confirm it's a juvenile},
at 130th and I5, around Jackson Park. They were "circling" each other in a
wide circular soar and every once in a while they would come together and
one would flip onto their back and they'd briefly go talon to talon for
just the briefest of seconds. Nothing came of it, though, that I know of
anyway. They were too high up for my phone video to capture and too high and
back lit to get a photo. DARN IT! It was a spectacular site that I felt
privelidged to see.

(When I first spotted the juvenile hawk last summer, I spoke to a raptor
keeper at WPZ who said that there was a red tailed hawk nest in Jackson
Park, they just hadn't realized they'd hatched offspring.)
