Hello,

The last two days, my son and I enjoyed a two day tour of portions of
Douglas, Okanogan, Ferry, and Stevens Counties. Here are some of the
notable species we enjoyed.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
Leahy Junction: 18 Greater Sage Grouse

OKANOGAN COUNTY:
Cassimer Bar: lots of expected waterfowl, Eared, Horned, and Pied
-billed Grebe, Common Loon, Marsh Wren, Cedar Waxwing

Cameron Lake Rd: Sandhill Crane, Tundra (20) and Trumpeter Swan (3),
Snow Bunting (4 at Duley Lake), Northern Shrike, Mountain Bluebird, N
Rough-legged Hawk

Okanogan Highlands: Bald Eagles (everywhere), Golden Eagle, N
Rough-legged Hawk, Great Gray Owl, Great Horned Owl, N Pygmy Owl, N Saw
Whet Owl, Williamson's Sapsucker (5), Hairy Woodpecker, Am Three-toed
Woodpecker (2), Pileated Woodpecker (5) - {woodpeckers at Highland Sno
Park}; Say's Phoebe, Northern Shrike, Gray Jay, Steller's Jay, Horned Lark,
Western Bluebird, Mountain Bluebird (a bazillion), Gray Crowned Rosy Finch
(15 - feeder on Nealy Rd at "Highland Meadows'), Red Crossbill.

STEVENS COUNTY:
Newton Rd: Tundra Swan (150), N Pintail, Green-winged Teal, Lesser
Scaup, other common waterfowl. Bald Eagle, N Harrier, N Rough-legged Hawk,
Horned Lark

Bitteridge Rd: Eurasian Wigeon, Western Bluebird.

Total 91 species and a lot of fun.
