Just home from a dash over to the Pike Place Market. Homebound, off 2nd
Ave in front of Safeco/Qwest and on the I-90 overpass over I-5, I darn near
knocked off one of Seattle's Peregrines, female I think. It just came out
of nowhere, zipping across the freeway at grill level barely missing the
car. I had only a split second to react but had I been there a split second
sooner, the outcome might not have been so good for the Peregrine. Same
thing almost happened again 3-4 minutes later on the I-90 bridge over Lake
Washington with an adult Bald Eagle although that was a clear and not so near
miss. Must be the blinding sun; nobody can see anything.
