Hello all,
One Caspian Tern on the Walla Walla River delta this afternoon - #140 for our county year list. Mike chummed in gulls:
Mew Gull - 1
Herring Gull - 6
Glaucous-winged Gull - 4
California Gulls - lots
Ring-billed Gull - lots too but one very pink bird - we see several of these every spring.
Dunlin - 95 on the delta
Northern Shrike - 1 at the delta
Long-billed Curlew - 2 birds near Wallula jct.
Eurasian Wigeon - 3 at the millet field/pond on Northshore dr.
Tundra Swan - 48 at McNary NWR + 4 birds in a field east of Starbuck, Columbia County
Snow Geese - 1800 still at McNary NWR
Gr. White-fronted Geese - 200+ MP300
American White Pelican - 1 with red patagial on right wing - Casey pond (20 pelicans back on Badger Island - their breeding spot)
Savannah Sparrow - 1 bird near Clyde

Walked at Van Hollebecke HMU, Walla Walla County:
Barn Owl - 3
Great Horned Owl - 1
Varied Thrush - 1
Hermit Thrush - 4
Yellow-rumped Warblers - 25+

Violet-green and Tree Swallows - several east of Starbuck, Columbia County.
Say's Phoebe - pair at Little Goose Dam, Columbia County
