Hello All,

My wife, daughter and I would like to spend a weekend over at Grays Harbor
birding during the shorebird migration. The logical weekend seems to be
during the festival however we have conflicts on that weekend and several
others. It looks like we have a choice on either end.

If we only have 2 options would you recommend April 16-17 or May 28-29?

Also, I could really use some advice of how to bird the area during our two
2 days. Since we will be balancing the desires of a 7 year old we will
probably only bird for about3-4 hours each of the two days. Most likely that
time would be around the high tide time.

I've seen the recommendations of the Grays Harbor Audubon society. It looks
like the areas are:

Ocean Shores - bunch of spots called out

Bowerman Basin - including Refuge

Bottleneck Beach

Westport

Possibly Elma/Satsop

I could use some advice prioritizing these as I don't think we would have
nearly enough time to explore all this.

All advice and comments will be great appreciated.

Regards,

Doug Schurman
