Hi Tweets...I received a call from Arnie Martin (prez of Grays Harbor
Audubon) letting me know he and his wife saw a Ruddy Duck Sunday on the east
end of the sewage lagoon, near the pipe where it goes under the road.

Meanwhile I was out on the beach with friend and nature photographer Deby
Dixon near the base of Damon Point in Ocean Shores looking for the King
Eider...to no avail. We walked from there west along the beach to the Oyehut
Game Range pond; lots of American Widgeon, Pintail, Mallards, Greater Scaup,
Western and Least Sandpipers, a pair of Greater Yellowlegs, a pair of adult
Bald Eagles, and an immature male Northern Harrier. Out in the bay we found
a pair of Harlequin Ducks among the Surf Scoters.

There was a pair of Common Loons in the marina and an adult Red-tailed Hawk
standing on the breakwater just to the right of the boat ramp.
