I finally made it out to the end of the new boardwalk at Nisqually NWR. 4725+or- boards by the way according to a friend's 12 year old son. On the way out I had a very nice look at the Great Egret along the boardwalk. I got within 100 or so feet and had some very nice views of the bird with my scope. A long ways to carry it. There is some yellow either still there or coming back on the legs. I wasn't qued in on the rest of the identification marks to look for to see if this is the subspecies everyone was talking about a few months back. But of all the Great Egrets I have seen here in Washington and in Florida none of them have hints of yellow like this one does.

Just a little something to add to the fun debate.
