Hello Tweeters,'
In the past I had the Pileated Woodpeckers a pair coming to my yard for the
Suet. There breed on the Golf Course here in Fircrest, bringing there 2 young
Woodpeckers in to my yard.It been over a year since there left, but yesterday
I heard there loud call on one of the light poles, who there where picking on
in the past.My Mail Man told me that there been picking again on the same
pole.It had to be breeding time since the mail been back again calling so
loud.My huge Poplar tress been cut down,so it would be interesting if this
birds breeding close by.I also have now three Yellow-rumped Warblers, one in
almost in full breeding plumage.I don't think I never had a chance to see
this species so close using only one of the many Suet feeders. The Townsend's
rooming now around ,I still can get from 4 to 8 birds.I also having my
Purple Finches back,(there was going away for a while, but only have 4 house
finches, and still 4 Varied Thrushes, there horde the Suet Feeders.

Cheers Ruth Sullivan
