Subject: [Tweeters] snoqualmie falls peregrine falcons

hi all:

stopped by the falls this afternoon and it appears the 2011 reproductive
season has started in earnest. the scrape is on the same ledge they used
last year, but the actual brooding spot is over near the left edge and
appears to be tucked under a root boll. what i believe to be the falcon was
brooding something which i presume is one or more eggs (i couldn't see under
her and it started to rain so i didn't hang around). the tiercel was
standing watch on a snag about midway along the cliff face to the right of
the scrape. if the weather moderates a bit, it might be possible to count
eggs later this week.
