I've lived in the Licton Springs area of North Seattle for sixteen years
now, and while I've seen varied thrushes in the neighborhood - even in my
yard, in most years - I've never heard them sing here. But this morning they
were singing up a storm in Licton Springs Park. I wonder if all the years of
dedicated habitat restoration in the park have paid off, and this time maybe
they'll breed there. Hope so!
