Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On March 18 a male COSTA?S HUMMINGBIRD visited a feeder in Corbett. The
Aloha COSTA?S continues to be seen.

Conspicuous movements of SAY?S PHOEBES, and TURKEY VULTURES were reported
during the week throughout the state. OSPREYS are now arriving in all areas.
An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was seen March 19 in Seaside. This may be the
first migrant reported.

A lone WHITE PELICAN was on Sauvie Island March 19. On March 12 a MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRD was in Scappoose Bottoms. One or two were near the Troutdale
Airport March 20. Two WRENTITS were near the Troutdale Airport March 23. On
March 19 a female WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was on the Columbia River near the
Portland Airport.

On March 23 a GOLDEN EAGLE was at the Hillsboro Airport. That day a GOSHAWK
was in Banks. Three ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were just south of Corvallis March
20, part of a general hawk movement. On March 19 a GOSHAWK was at Finley
NWR. An early LARK SPARROW was in Grants Pass March19.
