Hello Tweeters --

Western Field Ornithologists (WFO) is offering two types of YOUTH
SCHOLARSHIPS this year. Applications are now open for both, and
deadlines are coming up fast, so please see the website for further
information: http://www.westernfieldornithologists.org and click
on the link for youth scholarships.

One set of scholarships covers attendance at the annual WFO
conference, to be held this year in Sierra Vista, Arizona, during the
monsoon season, 17-21 August 2011. (best birding in the entire
nation, in my opinion.)

The other scholarship, as previously announced, is to participate in
a field expedition to the Sierras in California in July, led by Jon
Dunn, Kimball Garrett, and Bob Barnes.

Both of these scholarships provide amazing opportunities for
motivated young birders to learn about the field study of birds
alongside some of North America's top birders and field
ornithologists.

For information and online application forms, please see:
http://www.westernfieldornithologists.org .

Thanks, and good birding,
