Last Friday while bike riding with my grandson we came very close to a Pileated Woodpecker on the Seward Park loop road just north of the old
fish hatchery. I went back on Sunday with my camera and super telephoto lens, but couldn't locate it again. On the upper trail I did manage to find several Golden Crown Kinglets, Brown Creepers and Spotted Towhees. I made a few images including one of this female Downy Woodpecker:
