Sunday I chased Tim Brennan's Sora at Mary E. Theler Wetlands in Mason County. It was in the same marshy area at the base of the mainland before it heads into the open marsh/fields areas. It did respond to the I-pod. In returning through the trees on the boadwalk I thought I heard a Red-shouldered Hawk, which was very loud as they always seem to be. After a min of getting my wet rained-on I-pod on Red-shoulered Hawk the bird had moved on and I never could get a response. Just wanted to alert anyone birding in this area to keep their ears open as this would be a county first for Mason County.
