For those of us in the Portland region: Oregon
birder/author/phenom NOAH STRYCKER will be giving
two presentations in Portland on his recently
published and critically acclaimed book "Among
Penguins":

* Tuesday, APRIL 12: 7:00 p.m., Annie
Bloom's Books, 7834 Southwest Capitol Highway.
* Wednesday, APRIL 20: 7:00 p.m., Portland
Audubon Nature Store, 5151 NW Cornell Road.

On each night, Noah will give a lively slide show
presentation about ice, penguins, and the cold
comforts of living and working in Antarctica.

Noah spent three months during the Antarctic
summer researching and photographing a
quarter-million Ad?lie Penguins. He recounts his
experiences on the coldest, windiest, driest,
least populated, highest, and most remote
continent in his new book, Among Penguins: A Bird
Man in Antarctica (Oregon State University Press,
2011).

Noah, 25, is Associate Editor of Birding and columnist for WildBird magazine.

These events are free to the public, and his book
will be available for purchase and signing.
