Subject: [Tweeters] Fill on Wed.

Hey tweets, at last, a warm, still, sunny day. I hope you are out
there enjoying it. We *deserve* this!

The Fill was popping this morning. Wilson's Warblers are coming
through in numbers, along with Orange-crowned Warblers and Warbling
Vireos. One peep was on the Main Pond but it flew before I could ID
it. I think it was a Least. Our recent experience indicates that more
shorebirds are showing up in the afternoons than in the mornings.

Yesler Swamp was where the real action was, rarity-wise. A male YELLOW-
HEADED BLACKBIRD put in an appearance, followed very quickly by a
female PILEATED WOODPECKER, who flew over Yesler Cove and into the
easternmost part of the swamp lining Surber Drive. She stayed in there
for quite some time, foraging near the ground. I think there is a lot
of dead wood there filled with bugs. Also in the swamp was a Hammond's
Flycatcher, more Wilson's Warblers, and plenty of Yellow-rumped
Warblers.

Still present in the Wedding Rock area were a couple of Lincoln's
Sparrows and a Golden-crowned. - Connie, Seattle
