One LEWIS'S WOODPECKER continued coming to our feeders into the evening. The original bird chased the second woodpecker away from the feeders and eventually we were only seeing one here by evening. Apparently they may have been of the same gender. We also had a pair of CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS, 2 MOURNING DOVES and a NASHVILLE WARBLER - kind of like we were on the east side of the Cascades. But that is not unexpected as we are actually on the south side of the Cascades in Washington, as there are no barriers to prevent birds from moving up and down the Columbia Gorge. Wilson Cady
