I photographed a golden-crowned sparrow in my backyard today while it was on the
ground hunting for seeds spilled or dropped from the bird feeder.? I initially
did not recognize the bird as it was a in breeding plumage, the first I have
seen.??It was a nice change from the usual suspects which hang out at the bird
feeder such as?juncos, house finches, and chickadees.
