Seems like migrants were all over the place today. I didn't get down
to Juanita Bay Park until nearly noon but there were still quite a few
birds around.

Highlights:

2 RN Duck
4 Lesser Scaup
10 Bufflehead
1 Common Loon
1 RN Grebe
4 BT Pigeon
2 Mourning Dove - I think just my fifth sighting here
4 Vaux's Swift
1 Western Wood-Pewee
6 Hammond's Flycatcher - expected this time of year, though this is my
second-highest count (7 on 4/29/2008)
2 Warbling Vireo
1 Purple Martin
2 Pacific Wren - they probably breed here
1 RC Kinglet - won't be around much longer, my latest sighting here
was on 5/16/2003
1 Hermit Thrush
6 OC Warbler
3 Myrtle Warbler
8 Audubon's Warbler
2 BT Gray Warbler
9 Wilson's Warbler
14 Savannah Sparrow - expected in small numbers this time of year,
though this is my second-highest count (17 on 9/21/2007)
11 GC Sparrow
2 Purple Finch - I've had them here every month of the year, but never
really expect them

For a bar graph showing what may be expected throughout the year at
Juanita Bay Park based on sightings entered into eBird you can visit

It's a reasonably complete list of what has been seen in the park,
though it is missing a few species.

Good birding,
