As I was walking out of Kamiakin Junior High this afternoon (5/5/11),
the public school where I teach, I saw a single Townsend's Solitaire
flutter off (in their distinctive manner) into a field on the S side
of the school. I watched it for about 5 minutes swooping down on
insects from some low metal wires a few feet off the ground. It was
still there when I left. If anyone wants to look, Friday is a teacher
work day (no students), so if anyone wants to look around in the lawns
& fields around the school, it would probably be fine...
