I live in the WSU-Vancouver area of where Battle Ground-Ridgefield-
Vancouver come together, a few house from a postage stamp size
hillside park that backs into a grrenway. This open fir-maple park
warms early and is a good indication of new migrant arrival
overnight. This morning was exceptional during the hour that I spent
in the park and greenway edge. The first 15 minutes was constant
action with warblers moving toward the greenway, followed by 15
minutes of only local nesters, then the wave of warblers returned to
the parkand cycled through. The grosbeaks showed up as I was
leaving. Here's the complete list, including my first sightings at
this location this spring:
