Tweeters, This is a little late, but I went out of town, and wanted to be
sure they were still around. Wed., May 4th I found at least 156
Greater-white Fronted Geese on a spring pond at the corner of C and 18, NW
of Mansfield, in Doug. Co. That is more than I've seen total in my whole
life, and never have I seen that many in Douglas County. They were seen
again on the 6th and 7th, but the numbers seem to be down. Also seen were
Green-wing and Cinnamon Teal, Wilson Phalarope, Pintails, Buff, Wigeon,
Shoveler,Gadwall, Pipits and Savannah Sparrows. I love these little
ponds!

Hope everyone is having fun with the migrants. Tonight I had a
White-throated Sparrow in my yard, and my records show the last one here
was May, 1998!!! Meredith Spencer, Bridgeport, Wash.
