hi all ... was at a dog show all weekend and while I was gone Gene
called me and told me a Wilson's Warbler showed up in the yard ...
now we generally get one each year so that wasn't surprising, but
what did impress me was the fact Gene took the binocs, watched the
bird, and memorized about him enough to go look him up and figure out
what he was !!!!!!!!!! ... my gosh, maybe he'll begin to like birding
better than fishing someday (GRIN) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

so, when I got home this evening I in the dining room window watching
for the Wilson's Warbler ... found him ... he was still there
flitting around the trees ... and to my surprise there were TWO
flycatcher too !!!!!!!! ... one was an Olive-sided Flycatcher - a
yard first ... the other was much smaller with pale yellow throat,
breast, and belly ... I haven't ID'd him yet so I might be back with
questions later ...

anyways, a nice ending to the weekend ...
