With 45 minutes to spare before my SAS Nature Shop shift, I slipped down into the Yesler Swamp for a quick walk-through. There were plenty of YR and OC Warblers. But I was pleased to see a close-up Nashville Warbler (near a Warbling Vireo) on the trail heading out to the lagoon, not far from an interpretive sign. It wasn't singing, but its dark head, cheerful white eye ring, and yellow underparts made it unmistakable.

At the lagoon, a Green Heron flew across the water, apparently landing near where a Great Blue had recently relocated--the croaking racket was entertaining.
