Today while waiting in a store parking lot, there was a robin hunting a
grassy edge and a crow strolling about on the pavement kind of nearby but
not too close to the Robin. The Robin grabbed a worm and instantly the crow
was up and on the Robin, which it chased and then sort of knocked down in
the grass. The robin flew away complaining loudly, the crow ate the worm,
then after a brief pause, flew over to the other side of the parking lot. I
was not surprised that there was another Robin over there. My wifes errand
at the store ended and so did my observation. I wondered how many worms the
crow was able to bully Robins out of and if this was enough to make a living
on. I could imagine that a crow could live pretty well off Robins.
